Donten ni Warau is a popular comic book, well technically now an anime adaptation is in progress.
A story about the kumo brothers living to protect the town's people from danger. Their job is to catch and escort the criminals to gokumonjo a giant prison in the middle of lake biwa. This story takes place in Japan, Shiga prefecture to be exact. It revolves around the three brothers. Kumo Tenka, Kumo Soramaru, and Kumo Chuutarou.
The eldest brother Tenka is a very happy going person. He never does his home chores according to his brother Soramaru and just laid there sleeping. Funny, full of pranks yet gives the image of a good older brother perfectly. He is protective of his younger brothers and would to anything to make them laugh hence the title.

Soramaru is the second eldest. Hardworking and responsible the complete opposite of Tenka. Does all of the home chores himself sometimes he ask Chuutarou for help. He is aiming to be stronger than his older brother Tenka and think highly of Tenka. He never let anyone touch his neck even when he is wounded. This is due to the trauma he has. He practises everyday to get stronger and would do anything to get stronger. Even so, he has a strong sense of justice he even refuses to take revenge.

The youngest sibling is Chuutarou. He always carries a round a raccoon. He admires Tenka and wants to be strong just like him. He goes to a school and has a seemingly bad grades he hides it from his brothers though (isn't he cute? ). He cares a lot for his brothers event went as far as taking revenge when Tenka dies. He ultimately choose to come back home and atone for his sins.

The Donten ni warau comic book have ended already but there is a side story to it called the Donten ni Warau Gaiden. It tells you what happened after the main story. You can read it here.
